Functionalsoccerskills.com is a website about soccer skills that are useful to perform in the game, created in 2017. The goal is to deliver a decent overview of the functional soccer skills with footage of professional soccer-players. These skills are used by players that are active at the highest playinglevel and show that the skills are used at different positions on the field.
In former years Fuctional Soccer Skills was active under the name Voetbalned. Voetbalned: functionalsoccerskills was active on Instagram (since 2015), Facebook (since 2015), Twitter (since 2016) and YouTube (since 2016). With the desire to start a website the name changed in Functionalsoccerskills.

Functionalsoccerskills.com is created and owned by Niels Nederlof. Learning the skills not only formed me into a better player but the skills also gave me much more joy on the field. After many years of practicing I gave six years of techniqual skills training at a local amateur-club. Whilst giving training I noticed that children love to learn these skills and spend a great amount of time practicing them at home or with their friends. I also noticed that a lot of trainers are not able to teach and coach these skills to children and because of that they only teach the passing game. From July 2014 until December 2018 I was Youth Scout at PSV Eindhoven. Since July 2019 I am a Youth Scout at Ajax Amsterdam. Also as a Youth Scout I notice that progressively fewer children are able to use these skills at their playinglevel. With this website I want to give a solution for these findings. With the footage of this website every child, regardless of their talent and playinglevel, should be able to learn the skills. The skills in the videos are performed at a the highest playing level and with the highest resistance by many (former) professional footballplayers and repeated enough and in so many different situations that everyone should notice the inestimable value of the skills. I am convinced that, after seeing this website, no one can say that the skills -that are used by so many great players from the start of professional soccer until now, players such as Cruijff, Pele, Maradona, Zidane, Messi and both Ronaldo's- are not worth learning.
